Professional Therapies, Inc. was established in August 1984 by Jan Jessee, PT. We became a Certified Rehabilitation Agency in November, 1984 and have maintained that certification through the Virginia Department of Health since that time. You will find that we participate with most of your insurance companies and networks.

William Mercer, PT, merged his practice, Roanoke Physical Therapy Clinic, with Professional Therapies, Inc. in 1987. In 1995, we opened our home office on Third Street SW, complete with pool, hot tub, large gym and separate pediatric wing along with all of the administrative and billing offices. Ronald Greer, PT, OTR, began buying into the practice in 1998 when he opened our first Smith Mountain Lake office in Moneta. We now have 9 offices in Virginia. You can find us in Roanoke, Vinton, Daleville, Rocky Mount, Moneta, Hardy, Christiansburg, Blacksburg, and Shawsville. Professional Therapies now has over 75 full- and part-time Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech/ Language Pathology staff and 20 office personnel. Our growth can be attributed to the long-term, quality patient-centered staff that we have, several of whom have been with us for over 20 years.
